Description

Hello all!

This is an image of NGC7380-The Wizard Nebula in SHO-Hubble palette captured during the last 3 months from my home in Athens, Greece.
Located in the constellation of Cepheus at an approximate distance of 7.200ly from our solar system this emission nebula (designated as SH2-142) has a radius of approximately 100ly.
The radiation and stellar winds emitted from the open cluster’s luminous stars have sculpted the surrounding molecular cloud (gas and dust) whose hydrogen gas is ionized primarily by the variable binary star DH Cephei.
From the initial 70+h of data gathered, only 30h remained after meticulous culling, 10h per Ha-Oiii-Sii filter.
I hope you like it!
